The transformation of discarded wood into all-natural, clean firelogs.

Cape Cod Fire Logs are created using a unique, automated process that diverts discarded wood from landfills and recycles it into clean-burning, 100% natural firelogs.

Our raw material is post-industrial (not post-consumer) wood—it comes from construction companies and sawmills. We restrict our raw material to these sources and do not recycle commonly found wood such as treated lumber, utility poles, or deck wood, since these materials contain chemicals that make the wood unsuitable for burning.

Heat and high pressure are our ONLY inputs. Our process doesn’t incorporate any additives such as plant- or petroleum-based waxes, oils, or glues—our ingredients are simply clean, recycled wood products.

Compression is the key to the performance advantages of Cape Cod Fire Logs. The process of compression makes our firelogs denser than hardwoods, which means less mass is required for a comparable fire—their higher energy density makes them burn hotter as well as substantially longer. Our firelogs generate more energy per pound than cordwood and most other manufactured firelog brands. In addition, because the kiln-dried wood used in construction has very little moisture content, Cape Cod Fire Logs burn completely, leaving almost no residue—nothing but a very fine powder.
